These mattresses were stripped to the springs and rebuilt in various fabrics and colors by the company. The recalled mattresses fail to meet the mandatory federal open flame flammability standard for mattresses, creating a fire hazard. Consumers can identify recalled mattresses by a yellow tag displaying "American Mattress Mfg. Co., 1899 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30315." Mattresses with a federal tag indicating compliance with the federal flammability standard are not affected by this recall.
