The recalled hatchets are approximately 13 inches long with hickory handles, leather straps, and forged steel heads that feature both a hatchet blade and a hammering face. The tools are identifiable by the word "ACE" etched on one side of the head, "TAIWAN" on the other side, and item number 2014710 printed on a label on the handle.
If you own one of these hatchets, you should stop using it immediately and return it to any Ace Hardware Store for a refund.

The word "ACE" is etched on one side of the tool head and "TAIWAN" is on the other side. These hatchets have item number 2014710, which is printed on a label on the hatchet's handle.
