The Consumer Product Safety Commission and National Service Industries Inc. have recalled 64-ounce bottles of four drain cleaners: Zep Commercial 10 Minute Hair Clog Remover (UPC 21709-52206), Drain Care Professional Strength Drain Opener Clog Remover (UPC 21709-60060), Enforcer 10 Minute Hair Clog Remover (UPC 21709-52206), and Drain Care Professional Strength Drain Opener Clog Remover (UPC 21709-52212). The bottles can leak, potentially allowing the cleaner to contact skin and eyes and cause irritation and burns. Zep Commercial bottles have red caps and lids for the Hair Clog Remover and white caps for the Drain Opener, while Enforcer products are similarly identified by cap color.
Consumers who have these products should stop using them immediately and contact the manufacturer for a free replacement cap.
