Thomas Lighting ceiling flush mount light fixtures
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Thomas Lighting has recalled 28 different models of ceiling flush-mounted light fixtures manufactured between June 1, 2010 and November 25, 2010. The fixtures range from 7.5 to 13 inches in diameter and feature round bases with dome- or cylindrical-shaped covers in various finishes including metal and glass, with one, two, or three light bulbs. The recalled fixtures come with canopies in white, bronze, brass, or nickel, and most have a nib in the center of the dome cover matching the canopy color.
The socket wire insulation in these fixtures can degrade over time, exposing charged wires that can transmit electricity to the metal canopy, creating fire and electric shock hazards. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should immediately stop using the light fixture, avoid direct contact with it, and contact Thomas Lighting to arrange for a free in-home repair by a qualified electrician.
