Sakar International is recalling certain battery chargers due to a safety hazard. The plastic that holds the screws in the charger can break, allowing the screws to loosen and the casing to separate. When this happens, energized internal components become exposed, creating a risk of electrocution or electric shock to users.
The recalled chargers are silver-colored models designed to hold two AA or AAA batteries and are branded "Digital Concepts" and labeled "Compact Travel Charger." The affected item numbers are CH-1600S and CH-1600-RS with the date code MID#: 0801110, both found on the white label on the underside of the charger. According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately stop using the charger and contact Sakar International Inc. for a replacement product.

This recall involves item numbers CH-1600S and CH-1600-RS which are identified with the date code MID#: 0801110. Both numbers can be found on the white label on the underside of the charger. Also on the underside are three screws and a retractable power plug.
