What happened

Morgan Foods is recalling approximately 2,205 pounds of Skyline Chili products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The affected product is 10.5 oz. cans labeled "Skyline CHILI ORIGINAL CHILI" with lot code "L2121" and product code "CHC8T UPY" on the bottom, with a best by date of December 21, 2023. These cans were produced on December 21, 2021, and were shipped nationwide to retail locations. The problem is that the cans labeled as chili actually contain cream of chicken soup and fail to declare the presence of milk, wheat, and soy allergens on the label. The issue was discovered when consumers reported receiving cream of chicken soup instead of chili, though no confirmed adverse reactions have been reported.

Consumers who have purchased these products should not consume them and should either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. The source does not specify any additional remedy or compensation available to affected consumers.
