What happened

Supreme Corporation is recalling certain 2019-2020 Wabash National Supreme Dry Freight Body vehicles equipped with specific Maxon GPTLR and GPTWR liftgates. The recalled vehicles have a license plate light that may aim rearward toward other drivers instead of toward the license plate, which increases the risk of a crash and violates federal safety standards.

Supreme will provide replacement license plate kits to affected owners at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 19, 2022. Affected consumers should contact Supreme customer service at 1-844-352-4921 to arrange for the replacement kit.

Supreme Corporation (Supreme) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Wabash National Supreme Dry Freight Body vehicles equipped with certain Maxon GPTLR and GPTWR liftgates. A license plate light may have been installed that aims rearward and not towards the license plate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
