What happened

Swab Wagon Company, Inc. is recalling certain 2017 Chevrolet 2500 HD, 2018-2019 Chevrolet 3500 HD, and 2019 Ford F-350 Swab Pioneer medic vehicles equipped with Code 3 7x9 Stop-Tail-Turn Reverse All-in-One LED lights. These lights may exceed the maximum allowed brightness, which could impair the vision of other drivers and increase crash risk. The affected vehicles fail to comply with federal safety standards for vehicle lighting.

To remedy the issue, Swab Wagon will provide free instructions on how to obtain a filter kit from the light manufacturer. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 26, 2021. Affected consumers should contact Swab Wagon's customer service at 1-800-834-7922 to receive the instructions and filter kit.

Swab Wagon Company, Inc. (Swab Wagon) is recalling certain 2017 Chevrolet 2500 HD, 2018-2019 Chevrolet 3500 HD, and 2019 Ford F-350 Swab Pioneer medic vehicles equipped with Code 3 7x9 Stop-Tail-Turn Reverse All-in-One LED lights. The lights may be too bright, exceeding the maximum light output allowed which may adversely affect the vision of drivers. As such, these lamps fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
