What happened

Braun Ambulances is recalling certain 2019 and 2021 MX170E Ford E-Series ambulances and 2019-2020 MXP170E Dodge Ram 5500 Demers Ambulances equipped with a sliding attendant seat on the passenger-side of the ambulance patient compartment. The locking pin assembly in the sliding attendant seat may fail under certain loading conditions, which could prevent an occupant from being sufficiently restrained during a crash and increase the risk of injury.

Braun will notify owners, and dealers will replace the locking pin assembly free of charge. The recall began on April 2, 2021. Affected owners should contact Braun Ambulances customer service at 1-877-344-9990.
