Kovatch Mobile Equipment Corp. is recalling certain Predator model vehicles from model years 2013 through 2020, including the SS Rescue, Emergency Tractor, Panther Pumper, Pumper, Rescue, and SS Pumper. The welds that attach the suspension mounts and torque rod mounts to the rear axle may be insufficiently welded and could break, potentially causing the mounts to separate from the axle and resulting in loss of vehicle control and increased crash risk.
KME will notify vehicle owners, and authorized dealers will inspect the welds and repair any defects found at no charge. The recall began on April 9, 2021. Affected consumers should contact KME customer service at 1-800-235-3928.
