Audi is recalling certain 2020-2021 Audi Q7 vehicles due to a software issue in the air bag control module. If a crash occurs with an unbelted child in the front passenger seat, the second stage of the passenger air bag may deploy too quickly, which increases the risk of injury to the child.
To remedy this issue, Audi will notify owners and dealers will update the air bag control module at no cost to the owner. The recall began on March 5, 2021. Affected consumers should contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834 to schedule an appointment, and can reference recall number 69BV.
