2019 SPARTAN FIRE GLADIATOR
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Spartan Fire, LLC is recalling one 2019 Gladiator firefighting vehicle equipped with battery-powered 3600 wireless remote controller units. These controllers operate the electric firefighting monitors that direct water streams and adjust spray patterns on the vehicle. The sleep mode feature on the wireless remote controller is disabled, causing the batteries to discharge faster than normal. This malfunction could prevent the remote controller from working properly, which may hinder firefighting efforts and increase the risk of injury.
To address this issue, Spartan has notified the dealer with the affected unit and will request that the wireless remote controller be returned to Akron Brass for a free software update to enable the sleep mode. Affected owners can contact Akron Brass customer service at 1-800-228-1161 or Spartan customer service at 1-800-867-6478. The recall began on June 15, 2020.
