DOMETIC CFF; DOMETIC CFX3
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Dometic Corporation is recalling certain CFX3 Series chest refrigerators (models CFX3 35, CFX3 45, CFX3 55IM, CFX3 75DZ, CFX3 95DZ, and CFX3 100) and CFF Series chest refrigerators (models CFF 35 and CFF 45) due to a defect in the electrical circuit protection device. When these refrigerators are connected to both AC and DC power simultaneously, the protection device may fail, causing the AC/DC power supply to back feed through other appliances on the 12V DC system such as air conditioners, water pumps, lights, and furnaces. This voltage overload may cause electrical damage to those appliances and increase the risk of fire.
Dometic will notify owners and provide a warning label and revised operating instructions at no charge. The recall began September 1, 2020. Affected consumers should contact Dometic customer service at 1-888-943-4905.
