Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
REV Ambulance Group Orlando, Inc. is recalling certain 2018-2020 Type 1 ambulances built on Ram 4500 and 5500 chassis that are equipped with Compressible Liquid Adaptive Suspension Systems (C.L.A.S.S.). The recalled ambulances have part numbers DS135RS3A, DS135RS3AF, or DS135RS3-DM. The rear brake caliper flexible line in these vehicles may have been routed in a way that causes it to contact a suspension component, which can lead to excessive wear of the brake line and potentially cause brake fluid to leak.
A worn rear brake caliper flexible line can result in partial or complete loss of the rear brakes, which increases the risk of a crash. REV will notify owners of the recall, which began on July 15, 2020. Dealers will inspect the rear brake caliper flexible lines for wear and install a modification kit at no charge. If necessary, dealers will also install a replacement kit for worn brake lines. Owners who believe their ambulance may be affected should contact REV customer service at 1-855-661-9232.
