Vac-Tron Equipment, LLC is recalling certain 2012-2020 MC833SDT, MC835SDT, MC855SDT, and MC873SDT Vacuum Excavator trailers due to problems with exterior lighting and reflective safety features. The front clearance lamps may be positioned improperly, the jetter equipment can block visibility to the passenger side front clearance lamp, and the trailers may have insufficient reflective tape on the sides and rear. Some trailers may also lack side or rear reflex reflectors. These issues create a safety hazard because the trailers may not be visible at night, increasing the risk of a crash.
Vac-Tron will notify owners, and Vermeer dealers will install remedy kits provided by Vac-Tron at no charge. Owners of affected trailers should contact Vac-Tron customer service at 1-888-822-8766 and reference recall number VVK0006 to determine if their trailer is involved and to arrange for the free remedy installation.
