TAP WORLDWIDE RUBICON EXPRESS LIFT KIT

  • Brand TAP WORLDWIDE

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Tap Worldwide is recalling certain Rubicon Express suspension lift kits (models JT7147, JT7099, JT7102, and JT7145) sold for 2020-2021 Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The fitment guides that came with these kits may have incorrectly stated that 40-inch tires are compatible with the lifts. When 40-inch tires are installed on vehicles with these kits, vehicle stability can be reduced during certain emergency maneuvering situations, which increases the risk of a crash.

Affected owners should contact TAP customer service at 1-888-376-1417. TAP will replace the fitment guide and, if necessary, replace any 40-inch tires with appropriately sized tires at no charge to the owner. The recall began on September 2, 2020.

Hazard

Reduced vehicle stability from installing 40" tires can increase the risk of a crash during certain emergency maneuvering situations.

What should I do?

TAP will notify owners, and will replace the fitment guide and if necessary, will replace 40" tires with tires of an appropriate size, free of charge. The recall began September 2, 2020. Owners may contact TAP customer service at 1-888-376-1417.
