Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Prevost Car (US) Inc. is recalling certain 2020 X3-45 VIP, X3-45 VIP Entertainer, X3-45 Passenger, H3-45 VIP, and H3-45 Passenger coaches due to a missing potentiometer component in the instrument cluster. Because of this missing part, drivers cannot adjust the brightness of the dashboard illumination and are forced to operate with the highest brightness level. During nighttime driving, this excessive brightness may reduce driver visibility and increase crash risk.
To remedy the issue, Prevost will notify owners and install the missing potentiometer component and required wiring at no charge, allowing drivers to adjust dash brightness. The recall began November 28, 2019. Affected owners should contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046 and reference recall number SR19-42 to arrange service.
