Prevost is recalling certain 2010-2018 motorcoach models equipped with specific Kidde fire extinguishers that may not function properly in a fire. The extinguishers may become clogged and fail to discharge, require excessive force to activate, or have nozzles that could detach and cause injury.
Owners who received notification letters mailed July 11, 2018, should contact Kidde at 1-855-262-3540 toll free or visit www.kidde.com and click on "Product Safety Recall" to obtain a free replacement fire extinguisher. Owners may also contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046 for assistance, referencing recall number SR17-31.

Prevost will notify owners, and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 11, 2018. Prevost Cars, Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2010-2018 H3-41, H3-45, H3-45 VIP, X3-45, X3-45 Commuter, X3-45 VIP, and X3-45 VIP Entertainer vehicles, equipped with certain Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.
