Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2018-2019 motorhomes, work trucks, and shuttle buses equipped with ASA Electronics backup mirror-monitors (model VOM74MM). The recalled vehicles include Orion, Freelander, and Leprechaun Class C motorhomes; Rockport work trucks; Berkshire Ultra Coach motorhomes; and Starcraft shuttle buses. The displays may revert to factory default settings, causing the camera image to display in reverse, which could cause drivers to unintentionally turn in the opposite direction and increase the risk of a crash.
To remedy this issue, Forest River dealers will install a harness/relay/capacitor module at no charge. Owners of Orion, Freelander, and Leprechaun vehicles should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8602; Rockport owners should call 1-574-522-7599; Berkshire and Starcraft owners should call 1-574-642-3112; and ASA Customer service can be reached at 1-800-384-4400.
