What happened

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain Starcraft transit buses from model years 2016 to 2019 equipped with specific Freedman GO-ES Foldaway Seats. The problem is that when the seat back is rotated from a stowed to upright position, it may not lock properly when under load, such as during a crash or sudden stop, increasing the risk of occupant injury and failing to meet federal safety standards.

Owners of affected vehicles should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-3112 or Freedman customer service at 1-800-443-4540. Forest River's recall number for this issue is 05-0903.
