Porsche Cars North America is recalling certain 2017-2018 Cayenne and Macan models equipped with an optional ski bag. The ski bag's fastening strap may have been sewn with incorrect thread, which could cause the strap seams to tear during a crash, leaving the ski bag unsecured and potentially increasing the risk of injury.
Porsche will notify owners, and authorized dealers will replace the ski bags at no cost. The recall began January 10, 2019. Affected consumers should contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243 and reference recall number AJ12 to arrange for replacement.
