What happened

Harley-Davidson is recalling certain 2017 and 2018 motorcycle models including various Road King, Electra Glide, Street Glide, Road Glide, Softail, and Tri Glide models. The secondary clutch actuator cylinder in these motorcycles may leak fluid internally, which can prevent the clutch master cylinder from generating enough pressure to disengage the clutch, potentially resulting in loss of control and increased crash risk.

Harley-Davidson will notify owners and install a new secondary clutch actuator piston assembly free of charge at authorized dealers. The recall began November 5, 2018. Owners should contact Harley-Davidson customer service at 1-800-258-2464 and reference recall number 0173 to arrange service at a dealer.
