2015 GARDEN STATE DOUBLE DECK BUS

  • Brand GARDEN STATE

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Garden State Bus Group is recalling certain 2015 Garden State Double Deck Buses because the roof emergency exit may be located toward the center of the passenger compartment instead of in the rear, where it is required by federal safety standards. This incorrect placement could delay passengers from exiting the vehicle during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.

To remedy the issue, Garden State will notify owners and dealers will install an additional emergency exit hatch in the rear portion of the lower level that opens to the upper level at no charge. According to the recall record, owners should contact Garden State customer service at 1-888-800-3779.
