Is my product affected?

CUMMINS ISX15; CUMMINS X15

  • Brand CUMMINS

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Cummins is recalling certain ISX15 and X15 diesel engines (part numbers D103012BX03 and D103016BX03) that have nylon fuel lines equipped with a banjo bolt containing an integrated single screen filter on the fuel pump. Under certain driving conditions, such as prolonged downhill grades, the fuel pump cooling circuit screens may become restricted by debris from filtration material, causing the nylon fuel line to burst. If the fuel line bursts, a significant amount of fuel may leak onto the road, creating a hazard for other motorists, and the engine may stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

To remedy the issue, Cummins dealers will replace the affected nylon fuel line with a steel line at no cost to owners. The recall began on November 21, 2018. Owners should contact Cummins customer service at 1-800-286-6467 for notification and to arrange the replacement.
