What happened

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2018 Forest River Surveyor recreational trailers, model ORSVT247BHDS, because the Federal Placard displays incorrect tire and rim information. The placard indicates tires should be ST225/75R15D requiring 65 PSI with 15X6.0JJ rims, but the vehicles are actually equipped with ST205/75R14C tires requiring 50 PSI with 14X5.5JJ rims. Following the incorrect placard information could lead to over-inflated tires, causing premature wear and increasing crash risk.

Forest River has notified owners and is providing a corrected Federal Placard at no charge. Owners of affected trailers should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-3119 extension 205 and reference recall number 47-0698 to obtain the corrected placard.
