LES SCHWAB RETREADED TIRES
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Les Schwab is recalling certain steel-belted radial truck tires that the company retreaded for customers. The vulcanizing compound used during retreading may not have been completely cured, which can result in incomplete adhesion of the tread to the tire casing. This defect can cause tire tread to separate from the tire body, increasing the risk of a crash. The affected retreaded tires were manufactured at Les Schwab's three retread facilities during weeks 42 through 50 of 2017 and have specific DOTR numbers: RDNJ4217RS through RDNJ5017RS, RNVK4417RS through RNVK5017RS, and RCEE4217RS through RCEE5017RS.
Les Schwab will contact customers who had their tires retreaded to notify them of the recall. The company will exchange affected tires for properly retreaded ones at no charge. Affected consumers should contact Les Schwab at 1-541-447-4136 to arrange the tire exchange.
