2018 FOREST RIVER SALEM; 2018 FOREST RIVER WILDWOOD
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Forest River is recalling certain 2018 Salem and Wildwood recreational trailers because the Federal Placard label on these vehicles incorrectly identifies the tire size. The label states the trailers are equipped with ST215/75R15 Load Range D tires, but the trailers actually have ST205/75R15 Load Range D tires installed. If an operator relies on the incorrect label and installs the wrong tire size, vehicle handling may be affected, which could increase the risk of a crash.
To remedy this issue, Forest River will provide owners with corrected Federal Placards at no cost. Owners of affected trailers should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-848-1335 to request the replacement placard. The recall began on December 18, 2017, and Forest River's reference number for this recall is 05-0595.
