What happened

Triangle Tire USA is recalling certain Triangle TR643 tires in size ST225/75R15 with DOT codes 0517 and 0617 (produced during the 5th and 6th weeks of 2017) that were sold as replacement tires for cargo and recreational trailers. A mold irregularity during manufacturing created a small hole where the sidewall and tread meet, causing an air leak that prevents the tire from staying properly inflated.

If a recalled tire does not maintain inflation, it can lead to tire failure and increase the risk of a crash. Triangle will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected tires at no charge. The recall began on September 15, 2017. Owners should contact Triangle customer service at 1-615-610-5050 or visit www.triangletireus.com for additional information.
