What happened

Sumitomo Rubber USA is recalling certain Kelly Armorsteel KDA tires in size 11R22.5 Load Range G manufactured between December 4, 2016 and December 17, 2016. These tires are missing required markings on both sidewalls, including tire size, maximum load rate, speed restriction, number of plies, the word "tubeless," and load range information. Without this information, tires may be overloaded, which increases the risk of a crash.

Sumitomo will notify affected owners, and dealers will inspect the tires and replace them if necessary at no cost. The recall began on March 15, 2018. Consumers who own these tires should contact Goodyear customer assistance at 1-800-592-3267.

Sumitomo Rubber USA, LLC (Sumitomo) is recalling certain Kelly Armorsteel KDA tires, size 11R22.5 Load Range G, manufactured December 4, 2016, to December 17, 2016. The tires do not have the tire size, maximum load rate, speed restriction, number of plies, the word "tubeless" and the load range information marked on both sidewalls. As, such these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires-Other Than Passenger Cars."
