2017 FOREST RIVER PUMA

  • Brand FOREST RIVER

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2017 Puma trailers (models PT38DBS and PT38RLQ) manufactured between August 15, 2016, and November 15, 2016, because their Federal placards contain incorrect tire and rim information. The placard indicates tires should be ST225/75R15/D at 65 PSI with a 15X6.0JJ rim, but the vehicles actually have ST235/80R16E tires requiring 80 PSI with a 16X6.0JJ rim. This discrepancy could cause operators to under-inflate the tires based on the incorrect placard information, which reduces vehicle handling and increases crash risk.

Dealers will replace the incorrect Federal placard with a correct one at no charge to owners. To arrange the replacement, owners should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-0606 and reference recall number 420-11162016-0276.
