Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain 2014-2017 Freightliner and Western Star trucks that were manufactured between March 15, 2013, and July 29, 2016. These vehicles are equipped with Conmet aluminum non-high capacity hubs on the front axle. The front axle weight limit specified for these vehicles may exceed the hub's weight capacity, which can cause the hub to fail and result in the wheel separating from the axle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The company began notifying owners in November 2016 and will replace the front axle hubs for free at authorized dealers. Owners of affected vehicles should contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712 to arrange service. The recall reference number is FL-718.
