What happened

PACCAR Incorporated is recalling certain model year 2013 Peterbilt 367 trucks manufactured between April 18, 2012, and June 29, 2012. The affected vehicles have certification labels with incorrect gross axle weight rating (GAWR) and gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) information, which can result in the vehicle being overloaded and increase the risk of a crash.

Peterbilt will notify owners of the recall, which began on September 21, 2016. Dealers will replace the certification labels at no cost to owners. Owners of affected vehicles may contact Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4000 with questions. The recall number is 816-D.

PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain model year 2013 Peterbilt 367 trucks, manufactured April 18, 2012, to June 29, 2012. The affected vehicles may be equipped with a certification label that has incorrect gross axle weight rating (GAWR) and gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
