Southeast Toyota Distributors is recalling certain 2016 Toyota Camry and Highlander vehicles, 2015-2016 Toyota Tundra vehicles, and Scion FR-S and tC vehicles because the Load Carrying Capacity Modification Label may not accurately reflect the correct added weight of installed accessories. This incorrect label could lead owners to overload their vehicles, which increases the risk of a crash. The vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110 regarding tire selection and rims.
To remedy this issue, SET will notify owners and provide a corrected label free of charge to place over the inaccurate label. The recall began on July 14, 2016. Affected owners should contact SET customer service at 1-866-405-4226.
