What happened

ShowHauler Trucks, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Motorhomes, Garage units, and Toterhomes manufactured between June 1, 2007, and April 13, 2011, that are equipped with Lippert-brand Coachstep Double and Triple Electric Steps. The steps may become unstable because a bolt that attaches the fan gear assembly can fracture, causing the fan gear to disengage and allowing the steps to move from their intended position.

To address this safety issue, ShowHauler will notify owners, and dealers will install a retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism at no charge. The recall began February 23, 2016. Affected consumers should contact ShowHauler customer service at 1-574-825-6764.
