What happened

Graco Children's Products, Inc. is recalling certain Extend2Fit Convertible child seats manufactured between November 27, 2015, and January 20, 2016. These seats may have the recline label placed in the wrong location, which could cause users to position the seat incorrectly. If instructions are followed as shown on the affected seats, a rear-facing infant could end up in an upright position and/or a forward-facing toddler could end up in a recline position, either of which may increase the risk of injury to the child in a crash.

Graco will notify owners and provide a new corrected label with proper application instructions at no charge. The recall began on March 22, 2016. Consumers with an affected child seat should contact Graco customer service at 1-800-345-4109.

Hazard

Graco Children's Products, Inc. (Graco) is recalling certain Extend2Fit Convertible child seats manufactured November 27, 2015, to January 20, 2016. The affected child seats may have the recline label affixed at the wrong location, resulting in confusion about how to use the seat properly. As such, these child seats fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 213, "Child Restraint Systems."
