Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2014-2016 Legacy motorhomes (models 340BH, 340KP, and 360RB) manufactured between September 12, 2013, and September 25, 2015. The front seat belts on these vehicles have a safety defect: the shoulder belt may rest too low on a person's torso, at or below the shoulder, which increases the risk of injury during a crash. The affected seat belts do not meet federal safety standards.
Forest River will notify owners and install new seat belt systems at no charge. An interim notice was mailed to owners on January 13, 2016, and the recall began on February 1, 2016. Owners of affected motorhomes should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-293-6137 or 1-574-295-2117 and reference recall number 40-11192015-0117 to schedule the free installation of replacement seat belt systems.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Legacy motorhomes, models 340BH, 340KP, and 360RB, manufactured September 12, 2013, to September 25, 2015. The affected vehicles are equipped with a seat belts whose shoulder belt may rest at, or below, the shoulder of the seat occupant. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies", and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
