2016 FORD F-650 SD

  • Brand FORD

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2016 F-650 trucks manufactured between July 29, 2015, and September 3, 2015, because they may have been built with an incorrect Park-Reverse-Neutral-Drive-Manual (PRNDM) steering column instead of the correct Reverse-Neutral-Drive-Manual (RNDM) steering column. If a vehicle has the incorrect steering column and is parked on a hill with the transmission placed in park, the park pawl may fracture due to being overloaded, which could cause the vehicle to unexpectedly move.

Ford will notify owners of affected vehicles, and dealers will replace the incorrect PRNDM steering column with the correct RNDM steering column at no charge. The recall began on January 5, 2016. Affected consumers should contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, and the recall number is 15S35.
