What happened

Newmar Corporation is recalling certain Dutch Star motorhomes from model year 2010, Dutch Aire motorhomes from model year 2010, and King Aire motorhomes from model years 2012-2013. These vehicles have a flexible exhaust tube that may tear, potentially allowing hot exhaust gas to contact other vehicle components or materials and increase the risk of fire.

Owners of affected vehicles should contact either Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300 or Spartan customer service at 1-800-543-4277 to arrange a free installation of a new exhaust tube at a Spartan dealer. The recall began on October 8, 2015, and Newmar's recall number is 15V-554.

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2010 Dutch Star motorhomes manufactured May 13, 2009, to April 14, 2010, 2010 Dutch Aire motorhomes manufactured May 12, 2009, to February 8, 2010, and 2012-2013 King Aire motorhomes manufactured March 22, 2011, to May 17, 2013. The affected vehicles are built on a Spartan Motors chassis and have a flexible exhaust tube that may tear allowing hot exhaust to blow against other components or materials.
