What happened

Pierce Manufacturing is recalling certain 2014-2015 Velocity and Quantum vehicles manufactured between February 10, 2014, and January 8, 2015, that are equipped with LED headlamp assemblies. The headlamps on these vehicles may flicker when operated in extreme cold temperatures, causing the headlights to provide interrupted illumination instead of steady light. This flickering can confuse other drivers and reduce the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Pierce will notify owners, and dealers will replace the headlamps at no charge. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723 to arrange for the replacement. Pierce's recall number for this issue is 74B264.
