Motor Coach Industries is recalling certain model year 2014 D4500, 2013-2014 D4505, and 2013-2015 J4500 motorcoaches manufactured between November 2013 and May 2015. These vehicles are equipped with hub carriers that may develop cracks or leak oil due to manufacturing defects, which could cause hub failure and loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
MCI will notify owners and dealers will perform a routine inspection to identify hub carrier leaks. When replacement parts become available, affected hub carriers will be replaced at no cost. According to the recall record, owners should contact MCI customer service at 1-800-241-2947 and reference recall number SB 425.

The affected motorcoaches are equipped with hub carriers that may have areas of porosity which could result in the hub carrier leaking oil or cracking.
