2015 POLAR TANK ATB6 TRAILER; 2015 POLAR TANK APX0 TRAILER; 2015 POLAR TANK SRJH TRAILER
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Polar Tank Trailer, LLC is recalling certain 2015 model trailers (SRJH, APX0, and ATB6) manufactured between August 27, 2014, and November 29, 2014, that are equipped with specific Haldex Life Seal Type 30/30 Long Stroke Air Brake Actuators manufactured between January 9, 2014, and October 28, 2014. The actuators may have an incompletely attached internal rubber diaphragm, which could allow internal leakage and trap air pressure in the parking brake section.
If air pressure becomes trapped and is not vented, the actuator may not fully release, potentially causing brake drag and overheated wheel-end service brakes, which could result in a fire. Polar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the actuators at no charge. The recall began on April 2, 2015. Affected owners should contact Polar customer service at 1-320-746-2255 and reference recall number 14E075.

If the diaphragm is not completely attached, there may be internal leakage from the service section past the diaphragm, potentially trapping air pressure in the parking brake section. This air pressure in turn, if not vented, may prevent full release of the actuator unit, and may induce brake drag and may result in overheated wheelend service brakes, increasing the risk of a fire.
Polar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the actuators, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began April 2, 2015. Owners may contact Polar customer service at 1-320-746-2255. Polar's number for this recall is 14E075.
