What happened

BMW of North America is recalling certain 2015 X3 and X4 vehicles manufactured between July 28, 2014 and July 29, 2014 because the driver's side exterior rearview mirror may not comply with U.S. safety standards. These mirrors were designed for non-US markets and may not properly convey the standard warning that objects in the mirror are closer than they appear, which could increase the risk of a crash.
