Stoughton Trailers, LLC is recalling certain 2014 trailers equipped with SAF-Holland CBX Trailer Suspension Air Ride Axle Systems. The recalled models include AVW trailers (manufactured October 22–December 18, 2013), AVXW trailers (manufactured December 3–16, 2013), ZGPVW trailers (manufactured October 17–December 17, 2013), and AHV trailers (manufactured November 5–21, 2013). The suspension systems contain pivot bolts that may fail, which could cause the suspension and axle to separate from the trailer and increase the risk of a crash.
Owners of affected trailers should contact Stoughton customer service at 1-608-873-2555 or SAF-Holland customer service at 1-888-396-6501. Once contacted, owners will be notified of the recall, and SAF-Holland-approved repair shops will replace the defective pivot bolts with new ones at no charge. The recall began on July 22, 2014.
