2014 CADILLAC ELR
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
General Motors is recalling certain 2014 Cadillac ELR vehicles without adaptive cruise control that were built between September 26, 2013, and February 14, 2014. These vehicles have a software problem in the electronic stability control (ESC) system that prevents the driver from being alerted when the ESC system becomes partially or fully disabled. If the ESC system fails without the driver knowing about it, the driver may lose directional control of the vehicle, which could lead to a crash.
GM will notify owners of affected vehicles, and dealers will recalibrate the Electronic Brake Control Module free of charge to fix the problem. The recall began on May 20, 2014. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Cadillac at 1-800-458-8006, and GM's recall number for this issue is 14087.
