2013 HINO NV8J
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Hino Motors Sales U.S.A., Inc. is recalling certain 2013 NV8J vehicles manufactured between November 13, 2012, and February 8, 2013. These vehicles were modified to have a lower Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) than what appears in their documentation. Because the paperwork shows the full GVWR instead of the actual lower rating, operators could overload the vehicle based on the incorrect documents, potentially causing tire or suspension failure and increasing crash risk.
Hino has notified all affected owners as of January 29, 2014. Dealers will inspect and replace the vehicle documents at no charge. Affected consumers should contact Hino at 1-248-699-9330 and reference recall number M0270.
