Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain 2013-2014 Saf-T-Liner buses (EF, EFX, and HDX models) equipped with an auxiliary fuel pickup tube for an optional chassis coolant heater. These vehicles were manufactured between January 1, 2012, and October 4, 2012. An information label attached to the auxiliary heater fuel pickup tube may detach and fall into the fuel tank, which can block fuel delivery to the engine.
If the fuel delivery becomes blocked, the engine may stumble, run erratically, or stall while the vehicle is being driven, increasing the risk of a crash. Daimler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the tanks and auxiliary heater fuel pickup tubes for labels and remove any labels found at no charge. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Daimler at 1-800-7166-7466 and reference recall number FL-643.
