2012 ELITE LIVESTOCK TRAILER
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Elite Trailer Manufacturing is recalling certain 2012 Livestock Gooseneck trailers manufactured between November 17, 2011, and January 17, 2012. These trailers are equipped with Carlisle hydraulic brake actuators that may have a defective rotating component that was not properly heat-treated during manufacturing. This defect causes the hydraulic pump to wear faster than normal and could fail, resulting in loss of braking ability that may lead to loss of control of the trailer and increase the risk of crashes, serious injuries, or property damage.
Elite Trailer has already notified all affected owners, and dealers have replaced all defective actuators. If you own an affected trailer, you should contact Elite Trailer at 1-800-657-7305.

Elite Trailer Manufacturing is recalling certain model year 2012 Livestock Gooseneck trailers manufactured November 17, 2011, through January 17, 2012. These vehicles are equipped with Carlisle hydraulic brake actuators. One of the rotating components in the hydraulic brake pump missed a heat treating operation causing the actuator to wear at a higher than normal rate. As a result, the hydraulic pump could fail and result in a loss of braking ability in the trailer.
