Forest River is recalling certain 2013 Shasta Revere model trailers manufactured between September 4, 2012, and April 10, 2013. The affected models are the SHT27DB, SHT30BH, SHT27BH, SHT26TB, and SHT27KS. These trailers have incorrect tire pressure and load rating information printed on the Federal Certification Tag and Tire Information Tag, which could lead owners to overinflate the tires. Overinflated tires can fail suddenly, increasing the risk of a crash.
Forest River began notifying owners on July 23, 2013, and will send corrected labels as part of the remedy. Owners of affected trailers should contact Forest River at 1-574-825-7178.
