2013 SUBARU BRZ

  • Brand SUBARU

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Subaru is recalling certain model year 2013 BRZ vehicles manufactured between November 25, 2011, and May 25, 2012. The owners manuals for these vehicles contain inaccurate information about how the front passenger occupant classification system works, and other sections describing the air bag system lack adequate clarity. This misinformation could increase the risk of injury to front seat occupants during certain crash conditions and causes the vehicles to fail to meet federal crash protection standards.

Subaru will notify owners and mail corrected owners manuals at no charge. The recall began on June 19, 2012. Affected owners may contact Subaru at 1-800-782-2783 for more information.
