What happened

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America is recalling certain 2012 FEC52, FEC72, and FEC92 trucks manufactured between February 10, 2011, and April 8, 2011. During assembly, incorrect passenger side seat belt buckles were installed on these vehicles, which means the passenger side seat belt tongue will not engage its buckle correctly. This failure to engage properly increases the risk of passenger injury or death in a crash.

Owners should contact Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America at 1-856-467-4500. The company will notify owners and dealers will replace the passenger side seat belt buckle free of charge. The recall began on March 12, 2012.
